“Home Jazz Band” – traditional jazz hooligans since 2011.Through the heavy cellar doors penetrates a quiet trumpet tone. It’s a secret bar, immersed in the smoke of ladies’ cigars, in intimate conversations. On stage, the bassist controls the pulse of the audience with slow, steady strokes. Meanwhile, the guitarist’s rhythmic gestures and the intense echo of the drums invite behind the purple satin curtains. On the dance floor in the depths of the bar, sweaty couples sway. Gentlemen and ladies in costumes whirl to the clarinetist’s turns.
These experiences don’t require time machines. You don’t need to go to 1920s New Orleans or 1940s New York. On this journey, you’ll be accompanied by the Traditional Jazz and Swing collective “Home Jazz Band.” Since 2011, the group has been breaking standards, discovering hidden gems of history, and bringing them to life. The listener not only plunges into the whirl of dance but also takes away knowledge of New Orleans street marches, Vaudeville, ragtime, big band music, and European jazz after the concert. “Home Jazz Band” jazz is diverse – authentic, sometimes rebellious, gentle as silk, sometimes rough and dirty. Most importantly, it’s genuine.
