Few musicians have changed the sound of jazz as many times as Miles Davis. From cool jazz and modal experiments to electric fusion, Miles was constantly searching for a new direction — and each new chapter left its mark on generations of musicians.

Jazz Cellar 11 invites you to an evening dedicated to one of the most influential and unmistakable voices in jazz history.

The leader of the band, guitarist Deimantas Balys, has already explored the music of Miles Davis on the Jazz Cellar 11 stage. This time, however, he promises to dig deeper into the later period of Miles’s music — when electric instruments, funk, rock, powerful grooves and increasingly open forms transformed his musical language once again.

Rather than focusing only on the familiar classics, the program will venture into the more adventurous side of Miles Davis’s legacy — music driven by rhythm, sound, interaction and the freedom to take risks.

As always in our tribute series, the idea is not to imitate the legend, but to look at his music through the personalities of today’s musicians.

An evening of groove, tension, space, electricity and improvisation — and another journey into the endlessly changing

The first 30 tickets – at the cheapest price.

The Jazz Cellar 11 club’s “Dainykla” project is partially funded by the Vilnius City Municipality.
