Jazz Cellar 11 invites you to an evening dedicated to honoring one of the most prominent figures in jazz history – Charlie Parker.

March 12 marks 71 year since the passing of this saxophone virtuoso (1920–1955). Parker was one of the most innovative jazz musicians, who shaped bebop – a style characterized by fast tempos, complex harmonies, and virtuosic technique, which became the foundation of modern jazz. His work continues to inspire jazz musicians and listeners around the world.

On March 6, we invite you to a concert dedicated to the memory of this legendary musician and composer. The task of bringing his musical legacy to life on stage has been taken on by saxophonist Manvydas Pratkelis, for whom Charlie Parker is one of the greatest influences. For many years, Manvydas has studied Parker’s improvisational style and incorporated it into his own playing, refining his mastery through master’s studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.

This evening will feature Parker’s compositions, filled with energy, exceptional musicality, and groundbreaking ideas. Whether you are already familiar with his music or just beginning to explore the world of bebop, this will be a remarkable journey into the work of a legendary saxophonist.

The first 30 tickets – at the cheapest price.
